a5c7b9f00b A slightly unhinged cop is partnered with a veteran detective trying to maintain a low stress level in his life. I like this series. It isn't the films but I didn't love the films anyway. I thought they were watchable but not deserving of the mass approval and high rating.

so on to the TV series. it's very watchable in its own right. it's entertainment with quite pleasant, believable characters that are growing in personality. I have watched four episodes now and they are enjoyable. I look forward to the next one.

there is some nice humour, not rib tickling guffaws but decent story lines with chuckles peppered throughout them. the acting is solid and the interplay of the three main characters works well. that's the two cops and one wife and also the family scenes are believable and well played.

so should there be a second series ? yes, please. no doubt. it a pleasant watch and to be recommended. it's not the films, these aren't those actors. get over it and enjoy this for itself. Amazing! I didn't think anything could make this better. So real and the pain in Riggs and the tears. WOW! I cried along with him. Since in the movie we didn't know or see how his wife and baby died, this was heartbreaking. But now we know too, why he is so torn up and also about the fall-out and the why. Loved Damon and how real he and his wife are and how the whole cast plays off each other. Baby is adorable. When Riggs held her, oh my. The pain in his face and the love. Such pain for his character to have to go through. I don't want to miss an episode. This is going to be a winner! Thank you so much for surprising us with this wonderful show. Can hardly wait til next week!
